Not since the arrival of the Beatles in the 1960's has there been so much excitement about a group arriving from the UK in the USA! On Monday, we welcomed Ursuline High School of Wimbledon to our UA Dallas campus for the first time. To say that our UA students are captivated by our charming British sisters is quite an understatement - they can't get enough of these fascinating new friends in the lovely blue uniform with their "Harry Potter" accents.
We hope that the Wimbledon students enjoyed their first day at UA. They had a little welcome in the morning followed by time on the PA (Public Address) system to individually greet all of the UA community. Then they enjoyed a complete school tour with some of our UA ambassadors and fianally they attended classes including Journalism class with Ms. Smith where they were interviewed by our investigateive UA Bear Facts staff.
After their first full day at school, the Wimbledon students made lots of observations about our school. They tell us that they find our school to be spacious and that they like everything from the science labs to the gym to the concept of a "free period." Of course, we love hearing that their favorite thing is the new friends that they have made.
Their announcements were fantastic. It great to see and hear them in the halls. Good job, Ms. Nipp.
