We decided that no Spring-time trip to the USA would be complete without a visit to a baseball game. So, on Monday night, we accompanied our British friends to a minor-league baseball game at Dr. Pepper Stadium in Frisco. While no one was really to clear on the rules of the game, the students enjoyed themselves tremendously, eating hamburgers, hot dogs, cotton candy and other typical Baseball park fare. Highlights of the evening included meeting some of the Frisco Rough Riders players as well as other young people in the crowd.
Of course, we know we will be outdone in the sports arena when we visit Wimbledon during Wimbledon Tennis 2011 as well as when London hosts the Olympics in 2012. Nevertheless, we enjoyed sharing a US Sports experience with our UK sisters!
